ComingSoon.net spoke to director Philip Noyce (Salt) earlier today about his upcoming sci-fi drama The Giver, starring Brenton Thwaites, Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep, and he confirmed that he's finally moving forward with American Pastoral as his next project as a director with Ewan McGregor starring in the lead role. He also talked about some of the other projects he'd been working on including Dirt Music and why he wasn't interested in directing Salt 2 or remakes of Bloodsport or Captain Blood.
