In the September 28 release, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. Viola Davis Plans Barbara Jordan Biopic

Following her Academy Award nomination for last year's The Help , Viola Davis has plans to headline a biopic based on civil rights leader Barbara Jordan. Variety has the story, saying that Paris Barclay ("Smash") will direct.

Max Landis Boards Chronicle 2

With the worldwide gross of the original already having topped $ 100 million, 20th Century Fox has its sights set on a sequel to Chronicle . Deadline reports that the original film's screenwriter, Max Landis, has signed on to draft a followup.

Released on February 3rd, the original film was directed by Josh Trank and stars Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan and Alex Russell.

The film tells the story of three high school students who make an incredible discovery, leading to them developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities, and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.

Warner Bros. to Adapt Dinosaur Graphic Novel Bolivar

Though the book itself isn't slated to hit shelves until May 2013, Sean Rubin's graphic novel Bolivar is planned for a big-screen adaptation as an animated film, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter .

Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to the illustrated tale, which tells of young girl, Sybil, and her attempts to befriend her new next-door neighbor: the world's last living dinosaur.

Akiva Goldman, Kerry Foster and Stephen Christy are attached to produce while Kealan O'Rourke, best known for his short animated film, "The Boy in the Bubble", will write and direct.

Community Cast Gets Animated for Promo Shorts

The cast of "Community" is getting animated in new shorts that are set to debut Wednesday, March 7 on the free, ad-supported Hulu; the Hulu Plus subscription service and NBC.com, with new shorts appearing on consecutive days.
