Brad Furman to Direct Bodybuilder Biopic, Bigger

Brad Furman, the director behind The Lincoln Lawyer and this week's Runner Runner , has found his next project. Deadline reports that Furman will next write and direct, Bigger , a biopic of Ben and Joe Weider, the sibling pair who created the Mr. Olympia competition and changed the face of professional bodybuilding. The film will be based in part on "Brothers of Iron," the siblings' 2006 memoir, officially described as follows:

Latest News: The Walking Dead Season 4 Promos and Photos

AMC has released numerous promo pics and photos for the fourth season of "The Walking Dead." The photos are mostly from the first episode, but there are some from all the way up to the fifth episode.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, "The Walking Dead" stars Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Emily Kinney, Larry Gilliard Jr., David Morrissey and Danai Gurira. Horrible Bosses 2 Set for Thanksgiving 2014 Release

Production on the film already underway , New Line Cinema has officially set Horrible Bosses 2 for release on November 26, 2014.

Sean Anders ( Sex Drive , That's My Boy ) is taking the director's chair for the comedy sequel, which will feature the return of Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis as Nick Hendricks, Dale Arbus and Kurt Buckman, respectively. Jamie Foxx is also reprising his role as hitman Motherf--er Jones.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who wrote the 2011 original, also drafted the sequel. The original film followed a group of friends who decide to kill off each other's bosses (played by Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey).

Latest News: Poltergeist Adds Jane Adams

Following word earlier today that "Touch" star Saxon Sharbino had joined the cast of MGM and Fox 2000's Poltergeist comes the news, via The Hollywood Reporter that "Hung" actress Jane Adams has signed on as well. She'll play a parapsychologist in the Gil Kenan film.

Adams also joins Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt and Jared Harris in the horror pic, which starting filming on September 23 in Toronto. The story follows the Bowens as their home is terrorized and their youngest child goes missing when a supernatural force takes over their home.

Kenan is directing from a script by David Lindsay-Abaire. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert are producing via their Ghost House Pictures banner with Roy Lee. Nathan Kahane is executive producing.

Geoffrey Rush Boards Gods of Egypt

Following word this morning that Gerard Butler is eyeing a role comes word, via The Hollywood Reporter that Geoffrey Rush has signed on to Alex Proyas' Gods of Egypt . Already attached to star is "Game of Thrones" actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

Proyas is directing from an original screenplay by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film tells the story of a common thief teaming with Gods on a magical quest. Coster-Waldau is playing Horus, God of the Sky, who teams with Hathor, the Goddess of Love, and the human thief to avenge the death of his father, Osiris.

Rush, who won an Academy Award for his role in Shine , will play Ra, the Egyptian sun God, who is father to both Set and Osiris.

Hot News: Two New Characters Confirmed for Batman: Arkham Origins

The upcoming video game prequel Batman: Arkham Origins will be introducing some longtime fan favorite characters into the series' mythos. With Black Mask at the center of the plot and Deathstroke, Firefly, Copperhead, and others hot on Batman's trail, it's going to be a long night for the dark knight as the game unfolds. "The Office" star Ellie Kemper is the latest name to join the cast of Columbia Pictures' upcoming comedy Sex Tape , ComingSoon.net has learned. She's set to play the role of Tess opposite Jason Segel, Cameron Diaz, Rob Corddry and Rob Lowe.

Diaz and Segel star as Annie and Jay, young parents who take advantage of a rare night to themselves to make a video to spice up a physical relationship that they fear ain't what it used to be. The 2013 Toronto International Film Festival is almost over with the awards to be announced later today, but its status as a film market has been solidified by a number of acquisitions reported over the past few days as some of the festival's premieres have been scooped up by a variety of distributors.

Ned Benson's two-part work-in-progress film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him/Her , starring Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy, essentially two movies telling the male and female perspective on a marriage on the skids, was picked up by The Weinstein Company shortly after its TIFF premiere.

The Weinstein Company also picked up distribution rights to Jonathan Teplitzky's historic drama The Railway Man , starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman, and Can A Song Save Your Life?...

Fox has given a pilot production commitment to "The Middle Man," a new drama produced by Fox and Pearl Street Films, and executive-produced by Academy Award winner Ben Affleck ( Argo , upcoming Superman/Batman movie ) and Emmy Award nominee Glenn Gordon Caron ("Medium," "Moonlighting"), who wrote the pilot script. Star Wars Spinoffs Described as 'Origin Story' Films

As officially announced back in February , the future of Star Wars on the big screen is bright. Following J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII in 2015, Walt Disney Pictures plans to release a series of standalone spinoff films focusing on different characters from throughout the franchise's fantasy universe.

Today, Disney CFO Jay Rasulo described the projects (via Variety ) as "origin story film[s]," suggesting that some of the planned features might provide insight into how fan-favorite characters began their adventures a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Lea Thompson Gets Left Behind

Back to the Future star Lea Thompson, who has recently been starring on the television series "Switched at Birth,"
has joined the cast of Left Behind . The Hollywood Reporter has the news, bringing word that Thompson will star opposite Nicolas Cage, Quinton Aaron, Jordin Sparks, Cassi Thomson, Chad Michael Murray and Nicky Whelan in the story of a group of survivors during the first few hours after the Rapture.

The franchise is based on the series of books written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins that have sold more than 65 million copies worldwide. Kirk Cameron starred in the original trilogy of which the first film hit theaters in 2001.

Ant-Man Moves to Summer 2015!

There's some exciting news for Marvel fans today as Walt Disney Pictures has moved the release of Edgar Wright's Ant-Man from November 6, 2015 to July 31, 2015, a full four-months earlier.

The film, which is supposed to launch "Phase Three" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will follow Avengers: Age of Ultron 's May 1, 2015 release.

Production is gearing up for Ant-Man with Wright directing from a script that he has co-written a script with Joe Cornish ( Attack the Block ).

The new date has the film opening opposite 20th Century Fox's family fantasy Peregrine's Home for Peculiars and just two weeks after Warner Bros. releases Zack Snyder's still-untitled Batman/Superman film.
