Latest News: Robots Battle Monsters on New Pacific Rim Posters

The all-out giant monster vs. giant robot slugfest of Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim is nearly upon us and Warner Bros. and Legendary have just revealed two new posters for the July 12 release. Check them both out below!

Latest News: Could Hellboy 3 Find a Home at Legendary?

Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman sat down with Legendary Pictures head Thomas Tull last night, a break from the San Francisco-based weekend press tour for Pacific Rim .

Del Toro told Ryan Turek of ShockTillYouDrop.com this morning during their one-on-one chat that Perlman brought up the prospect of Hellboy 3 . "I hate giving pieces about it, but last night, we were at dinner and Ron said, 'I would be very happy to do Hellboy again, when are we doing Hellboy 3?'  Thomas [Tull] said, 'I would love to see Hellboy 3.'  He didn't say he would love to do it he just said he'd like to see it, but today, I'll ask him."

Michael Bay Reveals Transformers 4's Freightliner

Michael Bay's official site has just been updated with another new automotive still from Transformers 4 and this one is quite a tease. The Freightliner truck, which you can check out below, is likely a sign that the character of Ultra Magnus will be featured in the 2014 release.

"The adventure continues to transform with a very different offering from Daimler Trucks North America," the site's official description reads. "The imposing 2014 Argosy cab-over truck by Freightliner."

Ultra Magnus, sometimes depicted as the brother of Optimus Prime, is an Autobot whose original creation is the result of a repainted Prime toy sold in 1986. The character also Transforms into a truck and features a color design very similar to the one pictured below....

Ryan Reynolds Does the Mississippi Grind

Ryan Reynolds has a busy summer ahead, but that hasn't stopped him from signing onto a number of smaller indie movies with auteurs like Atom Egoyan. According to Deadline , he's just signed onto the new movie by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden ( Half Nelson ) along with Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn ( The Place Beyond the Pines ).

in the movie, Mendelsohn will play a gambler on a losing streak who will team with Reynold's younger gambling addict hoping that the two teaming for a road trip through the South will change both their luck.

Production will start on the film early next year with Electric City's Jamie Patricof and Lynette Howell on board as producers.

Reynolds next has two very different movies opening the week of July 17 as he teams with Jeff Bridges for the zombie...

Although plans are nascent to say the least, Vin Diesel revealed today through his official Facebook page that Marvel Studios has just reached out to him, likely for a role in an upcoming big screen project.

Disney Dates Cinderella and a New Mystery Marvel Studios Film

Just a week after Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios revealed release dates for two mystery projects in 2016 and 2017, a new update has set a third mystery Marvel film for release on July 8, 2016. What's more, Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella has been dated for March 13, 2015.

Hot News: Exclusive: Paul Feig Talks Susan Cooper & Bridesmaids Sequel

After 2011's Bridesmaids and his June 28 release The Heat , Paul Feig will continue to dominate the female-driven comedy realm with a new project, the just-announced Susan Cooper . The film is said to be a "realistic comedy about a female James Bond," but one that steers clear of spoof territory as opposed to films like Get Smart and Johnny English. Feig penned the script himself and looks to produce at Fox through his Feigco Entertainment banner.

While in New York City promoting The Heat , Feig elaborated on the balance between comedy and realistic spy action in Susan Cooper and also touched on the possibilities for a Bridesmaids sequel, a project now entirely dependent on Kristen Wiig.

Box Office Results: Monsters University and World War Z Take Over

Hot News: FX Casts John Hurt in The Strain

FX has cast two-time Academy Award-nominated actor John Hurt in "The Strain," the pilot based on the best-selling vampire novel trilogy from Guillermo del Toro and author Chuck Hogan. Hurt joins the previously announced Corey Stoll, Kevin Durand, Mia Maestro, Richard Sammel, Lauren Lee Smith, Jonathan Hyde and Miguel Gomez.

Latest News: Ryan Reynolds Drops Out of Summit's Highlander Reboot

The Wrap is reporting exclusively that Ryan Reynolds has dropped out of Summit Entertainment's long-in-development reboot of Highlander with producers Neal Moritz and Peter Davis, following the departure of 28 Week Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo last November.

Although Summit was reportedly going to move forward to find a replacement for Fresnadillo, who developed the reboot for well over a year before departing, the lack of a director may have forced Reynolds' hand in departing the project himself. Reynolds was meant to play Connor MacLeod, "an immortal Scottish swordsman forced to confront the Kurgan, a brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled 'Prize.'"

Latest News: FilmDistrict Takes Are We Officially Dating?

FilmDistrict announced today that it has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Are We Officially Dating? , directed by Tom Gormican and starring Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan, and Miles Teller.

Justin Nappi and Kevin Turen of Treehouse Pictures produced, along with Scott Aversano and Andrew O'Connor. Treehouse Pictures financed the comedy. John C. Reilly is the latest name to join the eclectic cast of Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy . Deadline reports that Reilly is now locked for the role of Ronan the Accuser in the James Gunn film.

Ronan, who first appeared in Fantastic Four #65 in 1967, is a law enforcement representative for an alien race, the Kree.

Open Road to Release Jon Favreau's Chef on May 9, 2014

Latest News: Star Wars Producers Board Sci-Fi Tale R'Ha

Rick McCallum, best known for his work as a producer on the Star Wars prequels, is teaming with "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" producer Steve Tzirlin as well as Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold to develop R'Ha , a feature-length expansion of the recent short film by Kaleb Lechowski. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that "Life on Mars" creator Matthew Graham is attached to provide the screenplay.

Mia Wasikowska Eyes Crimson Peak

Following Emma Stone's departure from the project, The Wrap reports that Mia Wasikowsa is eyeing the vacated role in Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak . She'd join Charlie Hunnam, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain in the supernatural thriller.

The project reunites Del Toro with Legendary Pictures who financed Pacific Rim , with Universal Pictures waiting in the wings to possibly come on board to finance and distribute. Plans are for filming to begin in February 2014.

Wasikowska, known for her title role in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and for films like Lisa Cholodenko's The Kids Are All Right , Cary Fukunaga Jane Eyre and Chan-wook Park's Stoker , can next be seen in Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive .

Elijah Wood is a Maniac on a New Poster

IFC Midnight has revealed a new poster design for the forthcoming Maniac , set to hit theaters June 21. Check it out below!

Directed by Franck Khalfoun and based on William Lustig's 1980 original, Maniac stars Elijah Wood and Nora Arnezeder.
