There are a couple of things that set Roland Emmerich's new invasion action-thriller White House Down apart from his previous movies involving alien invaders or giant lizard invaders or even bigger city-destroying natural disasters. Besides being grounded in our own world, he somehow managed to score two of the hottest actors working today, Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, and realized that the two guys would have the kind of on-screen chemistry that creates summer movie magic.
Foxx plays President James Sawyer, who is in the middle of some serious attempts to create peace in the Middle East when terrorists break into the White House set on capturing him and getting important nuclear launch codes.
