Supermodel Bar Paly Joins Michael Bay's Pain and Gain

As he did last year with Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Michael Bay is turning to a supermodel to play a part in his next, Pain and Gain . Variety reports that Bar Paly has been cast alongside the previously-announced Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris and Rob Corddry and, also newly-announced, Tony Shalhoub.

Based on a true story, Pain and Gain follows a group of bodybuilders who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida.

Latest News: Check Out Two Teasers for the How to Train Your Dragon TV Series

First announced back in 2010 , Cartoon Network has plans to begin airing a television series based on the hit DreamWorks Animation film, How to Train Your Dragon . Two teasers are now online, courtesy of Animatie.blog.nl , and can be viewed in the players below.

The book series, by Cressida Cowell, tells the story of Hiccup, a young Viking who defies tradition when he befriends one of his deadliest foes - a ferocious dragon he calls Toothless. Together, the unlikely heroes must fight against all odds to save both of their worlds.

The series, to be titled "Dragons," will feature the characters and worlds originally created for the big screen and will be explored and further developed.

UP: First Set Photos From the Next Star Trek Movie!

MTV , Yahoo! Movies , PopSugar and toofab have posted these first two photos from the set of J.J. Abrams' next Star Trek movie that feature Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Uhura (Zoe Saldana) facing Benedict Cumberbatch.

The film also stars John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. The movie is scheduled for a May 17, 2013 release.

The Hunger Games Breaks Fandango's Twilight: Eclipse Record

Fandango announced today that advance ticketing records were set by Lionsgate's upcoming big screen adaptation The Hunger Games , which has already sold out hundreds of showtimes in advance of the film's March 23 release date. Even though the film doesn't open for another month, the first-day ticket sales on Wednesday, February 22 broke the previous first day advance ticket-seller record held by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on Friday, May 14, 2010.

"'The Hunger Games' is off to a fantastic start," says Rick Butler, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Fandango. "Yesterday we saw the biggest first day advance ticketing sales in our company's nearly 12-year history – which is especially impressive for a March release and a non-sequel."

Michael Fassbender Plans Chulainn Film

Michael Fassbender has plans to star as Cu Chulainn, the Irish warrior of Celtic mythology, Variety reports. He's teaming with Ronan Bennett ( Public Enemies ) to work out the screenplay.

The legendary tales of Chulainn date back to roughly the 7th century and were collected in Ireland's "The Ulster Cycle" in the 8th. An epic warrior, many of Chulainn's more famous tales focus on the character at a much younger age than Fassbender. As such, details are few as to which Chulainn tales might become the focus of the film version.

Fassbender is coming off a busy 2011 and already appeared in this year's Haywire . He can soon be seen on the big screen again in Ridley Scott's Prometheus and is expected to soon re-team with his Hunger and Shame director, Steve McQueen,...

Following this morning's debut of the domestic teaser trailer, Twentieth Century Fox has revealed the international version of the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer, coming to theaters on June 22. Patton Oswalt Eyes The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Patton Oswalt looks likely to play a supporting role in 20th Century Fox's upcoming remake of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty , Variety reports.

The film, which will both star and be directed by Ben Stiller (his first directorial project since 2008's Tropic Thunder ), is a remake of a 1947 film that featured Danny Kaye in the lead. That film was, in turn, based on the James Thurber short story first published in The New Yorker in 1939.

In the story, a henpecked husband (Stiller) copes with the frustrations of his dull life by imagining he is a fearless airplane pilot, a brilliant doctor, and more. Wiig would play a co-worker to Mitty and also an alternate version of that character in the fantasy sequences.

Confirmed earlier today to be re-teaming for the action-thriller The Tomb , Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone will next appear on the big screen in August 17th's The Expendables 2 . Hot News: Billy Connolly Signs on for The Hobbit

One final cast member has signed on for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit . The Hollywood Reporter has word that Billy Connolly ( The Boondock Saints , The X-Files: I Want to Believe ) has signed on to play Dain Ironfoot.

Ironfoot is the Dwarf cousin of Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and heeds the call to war during the Battle of the Five Armies. As such, he's likely to appear in only the second film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again unless his part is significantly expanded from what's in the original book.

Director Set for Vampire, Zombie & Human Tale The Kitchen Sink

Deadline is reporting that Sony Pictures has set Robbie Pickering ( Natural Selection ) to direct The Kitchen Sink , which is about a human, a vampire and a zombie teaming up to prevent an alien invasion.

Jonah Hill was previously attached to make it his directing debut. Matt Tolmach (upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man ) is producing the film.

Oren Uziel wrote the script for the horror comedy.

Latest News: Kit Harington Joins Seventh Son

Kit Harington, best known for playing Jon Snow on HBO's "Game of Thrones", has joined the cast of the upcoming fantasy film The Seventh Son , Variety reports.

Already se to star Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander, The Seventh Son will be directed by Sergei Bodrov with a script from Matt Greenberg and Chuck Leavitt.

The film is an adaptation of Joseph Delaney's children's book about Thomas J. Ward, the seventh son of a seventh son, born in the 1700's with supernatural abilities and who furthers his training with the help of a learned "Spook." The novel is the first in a six-part series (known internationally as "The Wardstone Chronicles")

Hot News: Early Box Office: Weekend May Be Too Close To Call

It was a neck and neck race at the box office as two movies, Fox's found footage superpowers movie Chronicle and CBS Films' horror flick The Woman in Black , starring Daniel Radcliffe, each vied for the #1 position over the competition. Early estimates have Chronicle at $ 8.7 million for Friday compared to Woman in Black 's $ 8.3 million but with the Super Bowl on Sunday, essentially cutting off all moviegoing business at the knees, it's really anyone's game in terms of which movie might win the weekend as both could end up with around $ 19 million by Sunday, give or take. Check back tomorrow for the full studio estimates but look for this one to be a hotly-contested photo finish right up until Monday when actual box office receipts are reported.

Hot News: Daniel Craig is James Bond in the First Official Image From Skyfall !

The very first still from the next James Bond adventure, Skyfall , is now online, courtesy of 007.com , which also adds that the shot of Daniel Craig as 007 takes place in Shanghai.

Directed by Sam Mendes and set for release on November 9th, Skyfall also stars avier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace. The official description reads as follows:

In Skyfall , Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
