Latest News: Neil Marshall Plans The Last Voyage of the Demeter
Neil Marshall is latest name to become attached to The Last Voyage of the Demeter , says a story at The Hollywood Reporter . Last year , David Slade was said to be planning to direct and, before that, both Stefan Ruzowitzky and Marcus Nispel were once in talks.
Set during Bram Stoker's original "Dracula," the script focuses on the ship that transports the vampire from Transylvania. In the original text, the vessel arrives in England with the entire crew missing, save the captain, whose body is found tied to the helm. In the script, screenwriter Bragi Schut is said to take an approach akin to Ridley Scott's original Alien, telling the story from the point of view of the Russian crew and treating the vampire as Scott did the sci-fi terror.

Luke Wilson to Lead Karyn Kusama's The Invitation
XYZ Films has announced that the thriller The Invitation will begin principal photography in Los Angeles in the summer of 2012. Hammer Plans Winchester Mystery House Feature
In the first deal of its kind, the San Jose, California based Winchester Mystery House considered the "world's most haunted house" is authorizing Hammer, an Exclusive Media company, the use of its unique property for a feature film based on its legendary story. Hammer has optioned all rights to develop and produce the feature film with Imagination Design Works (IDW) and Nine/8 Entertainment, it was announced today by Simon Oakes, Vice-Chairman of Exclusive Media and President & CEO of Hammer, and Guy East and Nigel Sinclair, Co-Chairmen of Exclusive Media.

Ben Kingsley Eyes Iron Man 3
Ben Kingsley, who starred in last year's Hugo and who is now filming Ender's Game , is said to be in final negotiations to play the villain in Shane Black's Iron Man 3 . Variety has the news, saying that Kingsley's part is that of someone tied to nanobot technology and is specifically not the comic book foe, the Mandarin.
Written by Drew Pearce and Black, Iron Man 3 will again star Robert Downey as Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. It is slated to begin production shortly in North Carolina with a release date of May 3, 2013.
