The upcoming Elizabeth Banks-directed Pitch Perfect 2 has added a brand new star to its lineup. Variety reports that Hailee Steinfeld ( True Grit , Three Days to Kill ) will be joining the cast in an undisclosed role.
Steinfeld joins the returning Banks, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson for the big screen sequel, set for release on May 15, 2015. It is noted that Steinfeld may be set up in the sequel to take over the franchise, should a Pitch Perfect 3 move forward.
