On the night before its Cannes Film Festival premiere, Sony Pictures Classics have announced that they have picked up the North American distribution rights for Only Lovers Left Alive , the new movie from New York City auteur Jim Jarmusch ( Stranger than Paradise , Down by Law , Broken Flowers ), which is a romantic thriller starring Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, John Hurt, Anton Yelchin and Jeffrey Wright.
SPC has also provided us with a plot summary that doesn't mention the word "vampire" anywhere in it although that doesn't necessarily mean this isn't Jarmusch's "vampire movie":
