Summit Picks Up Veronica Roth's Divergent

Summit Entertainment has picked up the film rights to Veronica Roth's novel "Divergent," which hits stores in May. Red Wagon's Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher will produce the adaptation.

The book is described as follows:

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent).
