Paramount Pictures' romantic comedy No Strings Attached , starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, opened in first place at the domestic box office with an estimated $ 20.3 million from 3,018 locations. Made for about $ 25 million, the Ivan Reitman-directed film averaged $ 6,726 per theater. The R-rated pic received 70% of its opening gross from females, the studio said.
