It was another bad weekend at the box office but at least this weekend, the studios have a good excuse as Hurricane Irene crashed onto the Eastern seaboard, forcing many chains to close their theaters over the weekend. New York City, one of the top markets, shut its transit system down at noon on Saturday, but got the worst of the storm overnight and there's a chance theaters will be opening for business later today.

Game News: Fan Film Portal: No Escape Hits

"Portal" video game franchise fans will want to check out "Portal: No Escape," a new fan film by Dan Trachtenberg. Trachtenberg has directed commercials for Lexus, Nike, and Coca Cola, among others. The short stars Danielle Rayne as Chell and features special effects by Jon Chesson.

Has Ben Whishaw Been Cast in James Bond 23 ?

Over the last few months, there's been plenty of rumors and very few confirmations about who might be appearing in Sam Mendes' upcoming and untitled James Bond movie currently dubbed Bond 23 .

Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes are still being considered for two unnamed leads, but one name we haven't heard mentioned but who seems to already be attached is actor Ben Whishaw. One Shot Actress Short List Revealed

Hayley Atwell, Alexa Davalos and Rosamund Pike are said to be the three names on the short list for playing the female lead in Christopher McQuarrie's One Shot . The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that a decision could be reached sometime this weekend.

Set Photos From The Dark Knight Rises

Arriving in Pennsylvania with much fanfare , Warner Bros.' production of The Dark Knight Rises has officially begun filming a scene at a small home in Lawrenceville. Millionaire Playboy was there and managed to snap a few photos from the set, including Christopher Nolan himself looking over the location.

Details of the scene are few, but the site notes that a small amount of fake snow was spotted on the ground (and can be seen in the images below). This news certainly fits with yesterday's report that said we'd be seeing Gotham City in the wintertime.
